Weight setting for fingerprints

Question:

Where does the "weight" number come from in the pairwise comparison window?

Answer:

In case a curve based coefficient is selected for a particular fingerprint type, the resolution of the fingerprint type is shown as the "weight" number.

When a band based coefficient is selected, the "weight" number in the pairwise comparison window is the denominator of this coefficient (e.g. for Jaccard: N(total) and for Dice: N(total) + N (common)). If you choose "Ignore uncertain bands", you not only have to ignore the uncertain bands but also the bands corresponding to the uncertain bands. To see which bands are corresponding to the uncertain ones you first have to choose "Include uncertain bands" and run the pairwise comparison again.
