How do I delete a reference system?
To remove a reference system, double-click on the fingerprint type in the Experiments panel. Then, select Settings > Remove reference system. A reference system can only be deleted when it is not active and when it is not used in any gel. In other words, there should be another reference system selected to be active before you can delete an obsolete reference system. When the program tells you "Cannot remove reference system (it is used in fingerprint file XXX", it means that this gel XXX is normalized using the reference you want to delete. In this case, you will have to open that gel, perform Edit > Load default settings, run through the normalization process again, and save the gel. From now on, you can remove the obsolete reference system.
