Combining fingerprint profiles

Question:

How do I combine my two fingerprint types into one dendrogram?

Answer:

First you should verify that both fingerprint types are linked to one set of entries in your database. Now, a composite dataset must be created. In the appearing Composite dataset window, select each experiment and Experiment > Use in composite dataset. Further, select Experiment > Comparison settings and Take from experiments. With Experiment > Correct for internal weights, you can have the program take account of the differences in lane length or number of bands between two experiments.

If you then create a comparison, select the composite dataset and choose Clustering > Calculate cluster analysis, this will result in a dendrogram which is the result of the combination of both experiments. The similarity coefficients selected for the respective experiments will be used.
