I have loaded patterns obtained with two different restriction enzymes onto the same gel. Can I tell the software that these patterns belong to two different fingerprint types?
Answer:
Once you have gone through the normalization process, the Fingerprint file window displays all the lanes of the gel. You can highlight a lane and select Database > Change fingerprint type of lane. The list of all available fingerprint types is shown, from which you can choose the correct one. Repeat this action for all lanes that belong to another fingerprint type.
