Bootstrap analysis on gel data

Before you can do a bootstrap analysis on fingerprint data, you have to make sure that the bands are defined in step 4 of the gel processing window. Bootstrap analysis can only be performed on aligned sequences and complete data matrices. In the software a complete data matrix is generated when you create a composite data set from your experiment (Create new composite data set). In case of fingerprint data you will have to create a composite data set including the experiment(s) of your choice. Then, in the Comparison window you need to perform a band matching. When these conditions are met, you should be able to calculate a bootstrap analysis on your data.
